God's perspective
Having God’s Perspective

Today, as I read yet again Jesus’s rebuke to Peter, I found it difficult to move past His words. It struck me, as it has done several times already, how different God’s perspective is. from ours.

But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

(Matthew 16:23 NKJV)

I did two things.

Finding rest
Finding rest

Finding rest has become crucial. I’m pretty sure I speak for a lot of folks when I say one thing I want to experience more of is rest. Not necessarily physical rest, though that is good, but rest for my heart and mind. The rate at which people are just collapsing and dying shows that rest has become an elusive element in our lives; we are constantly stressed.

There are several scriptures that talk about rest but I want to focus on one in which Jesus basically gave a prescription for how to find rest
